The successful use of precision ag is really nothing more than keeping good records and learning how to use those records to improve your management and decision making abilities.

Recording data in a real-time second-by-second environment (such as a yield monitor or recording as applied chemical rates) gives us a tremendously detailed and accurate record of what is going on in the field. However, we still have to learn how to use that data and turn it into better decisions.

That has been the focus of Precision Profits. In simple terms, we do not define PA as a specific technology such as grid sampling, yield monitoring, or VRT. We think that the data and information insights that this technology provides should be used to tell you IF and HOW you should approach something like variable-rate application.

Our role when working with producers is to provide advice, education, training, and data collection and analysis services to help them take advantage of the available tools. We do not promote the specific technology of any one company, but work with several to provide solutions to our clients.

We have also attempted to streamline our program into some general-purpose service packages that many producers can take advantage of “out-of-the-box”.

We understand that this specific program will not fit everyone, especially those producers who would like to do more of their own data management and analysis. We are happy to design a program to fit any individual operations needs.
